Thank you
A message from President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Lisa Roberts.
On behalf of the Exeter community, I would like to extend my warm thanks for your generous support over the last year.
More than
friends and supporters were inspired to give in 2022-23.
Together they raised a staggering
which is the highest total raised in any single year in Exeter’s history.
This sits alongside a record-breaking
volunteering hours secured from more than
alumni volunteers.
These are amazing figures that speak of the passion and commitment that our community feels towards their University.
As I hope you will see from the stories we share in this Thank You report, you are helping to transform lives.
You allow us to create new scholarship opportunities and provide support to those who need it. Philanthropy also enables us to push further in research, whether through translating scientific research to tackle social-environmental challenges that are exacerbated by climate change, or creating new strategies to diagnose cancer sooner. Additionally, our alumni volunteer community have given their time to provide industry expertise and insight to students via the Career Mentor Scheme, taken part in video profile interviews, virtual events and in-country offer-holder events to bolster the University’s international student recruitment strategy.
As a university, we are grateful for all the support we receive at any level, and I hope you feel assured that you truly make a difference. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the University in some way over the past year. It is through your efforts that Exeter remains an internationally acclaimed centre of education and research.
