International Alumni Groups

We have network groups spanning the globe and more than 20,000 alumni located outside of the UK, many of whom meet to renew friendships, organise or take part in networking events and strengthen ties with the University.

Country Contact volunteers are here to help other alumni as a main point of contact in their region, helping to connect you with the local alumni network. They are a point of support for current Exeter students and can help answer questions from prospective students, as well as visiting University staff. Alumni volunteers and network groups often help arrange professional networking and social events for alumni in their region.

Join your local alumni group by connecting with them on social media and for the latest University news and local alumni events. Get all the details online.

Exe-X: The Alumnae Group (female graduates)

All female Exeter graduates are invited to be a part of the Alumnae Group network and are encouraged to engage with our events and activities. Founded by a group of Exeter alumnae in London, Exe-X: the Alumnae Group was created to engage, inspire, and support female graduates. Since its launch with the first Women & Leadership Reception back in 2011, the group has run regular networking and education events. These have recently included a webinar series on ‘Overcoming Challenges in your Career’ and a virtual session on ‘Make Your Own Map – Career Success Strategy for Women’.

In Exeter, ‘Exe-X South West’ hold an informal meet-up on the first Tuesday evening of every month and organise additional events during the year. Previous events have included talks and lectures, guided tours, theatre and concert visits. The Group provides an excellent way for local alumnae to meet graduates from many different careers and disciplines, expanding their social and professional networks. It also helps us to stay in touch with the latest developments at the University. Exe-X South West is organised by a Steering Group of alumnae volunteers and recent events have included a talk from Rachel Trethewey about her latest book, The Churchill Girls.
